How these pages work

  • Real probes. Each service has two to four HTTP, DNS, or SSL checks against the endpoints developers actually use: the API, the registry, the dashboard, not only the marketing homepage.
  • Every continent. Checks run from several regions so a regional incident is visible as such, instead of being reported as a global outage or missed entirely.
  • Outages on record. When a probe fails from every region our incident engine opens an incident and closes it on recovery, so each page carries the service's outage history with start, end, and duration.
  • Same engine as the product. These pages are powered by the same upti.my monitors our customers use. If you want alerts instead of a page to refresh, that is what we do.

We run real HTTP, DNS, and SSL probes against each service's public endpoints from monitoring regions on every continent, at one to five minute intervals. A service is marked down only when checks fail from every region, so a single flaky route cannot trigger a false alarm; a failure in some regions shows as degraded.

Downdetector aggregates user complaints. We measure. Our probes hit the same endpoints your code uses, from several continents, so you can see whether the API is failing while the website is fine, or whether only one region is affected. We also link every vendor's official status page.

Official pages are updated by humans after an incident is confirmed, which often lags the first failures by many minutes. Our probes react within a minute or two. Conversely, we can only see public endpoints, so an incident inside a vendor's control plane may not show on our probes at all.

Yes. Create a free upti.my account and add the same endpoints as monitors in your own workspace; you will get alerts through Slack, email, webhooks, or on-call escalation. More usefully, monitor your own dependency on the service, such as the API route or job that calls it.

No. upti.my is an independent monitoring platform. Company and product names are used only to identify the services being measured and remain the property of their respective owners.
